Tidmarsh at heart are traditional blinds masters, and collected here are some of our most authentic, established window covering products. From our Timbershade Venetian blinds, which we’ve made for almost 200 years, to our Traditional Patent Action spring roller blinds, Tidmarsh pride ourselves on being able to introduce technology to an old craft, thereby producing a blind of unrivalled quality. Georgian, Regency, Victorian and Edwardian architects and designers have left a most formidable legacy of styles. Few, if any, blind makers are as well qualified as Tidmarsh to recreate them. For, in many cases, our parent company Tidmarsh & Sons helped to create the originals.

Pull Up Roller Blinds

Pull up roller blinds are installed at the base of the window and are pulled upwards rather than by a downwards motion normally associated with roller blinds. This allows privacy or security to be given at the height required, therefore allowing natural light to enter the room from the top of the window.

Pull up roller blinds allow you to receive the maximum natural light into your room, with the maximum privacy that you require. The blinds can also be adjusted to any height, which makes them ideal for any use or application.

Cap and Rack Blinds

The Cap and Rack spring Roller is a traditional design which has been used for nearly two hundred years. At Tidmarsh, we have provided many Cap and Rack blinds for the National Trust, English Heritage and various well-known museums and art galleries. The system consists of a metal barrel which is fitted with nylon end blocks and contains a helical coil spring. The action has a polished brass cap (always mounted on the right-hand side of a normal roller blind) containing the rack and pawl level both in steel. The blind is drawn by pulling on the centre cord until the required position is reached, to raise the blind the side release cord is pulled allowing the spring to roll the blind up and stop when the cord can be released. Wooden Blinds

Tough, natural and warm, the Tidmarsh designer range of wood Venetian blinds are hand built and finished. Each finished blind is complemented with matching timber bottom rails, tassels and moulded pelmet to cover the colour co-ordinated headrail mechanism, offering privacy and light control. Manufactured from the finest hard-wearing, tight grained woods, ecologically approved and able to resist the bowing associated with some timber blinds, the Timbercraft slatting is available in 25mm and 50mm slats up to 2743mm wide.
